Ingredients

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
Spider Decoration
  • 24 Chocolate Truffles or Peanut Butter Cups Unwrapped
  • 48 Candy Eyes
  • 0.5 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips Melted for piping legs

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar, and egg until smooth and well combined.
  3. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and immediately press a small indentation into the center of each cookie using the back of a spoon.
  5. While the cookies are still warm, place a chocolate truffle or peanut butter cup into the center indentation of each cookie.
  6. Once the cookies have cooled completely, use the melted chocolate in a piping bag to draw 8 spider legs on the sides of the chocolate centers.
  7. Attach two candy eyes to the front of the chocolate center using a small dot of melted chocolate as glue.

Notes

Store these cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. If the chocolate gets too soft, place them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set the legs.
