Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Carefully unravel each of the cinnamon rolls. Cut each cinnamon roll into 3 or 4 equal pieces, depending on the size of your sausage links and desired yield.
- Wrap one piece of cinnamon roll dough around each sausage link, ensuring it's fully enclosed. Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cinnamon roll dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- While the pigs in a blanket are baking, prepare the maple glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and maple syrup.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar to the butter and maple syrup mixture, whisking until the glaze is smooth and combined with no lumps.
- Once the breakfast pigs in a blanket are out of the oven, let them cool slightly. Drizzle the prepared maple glaze generously over the top.
- Serve warm and enjoy the sweet and savory combination!
Notes
These can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving. For a less sweet option, you can omit the glaze or use a smaller amount. Ensure sausage links are fully cooked before wrapping.
