Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly flour a clean surface.
Unfold one sheet of puff pastry on the floured surface. Gently roll it out slightly. Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out as many hearts as possible. Repeat with the second sheet.

In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the strawberry preserves.

Place half of the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place a small spoonful of the strawberry cream cheese filling in the center of each heart.

Top each filled heart with another heart. Gently press the edges together to seal.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the danishes are golden brown.
While the danishes are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. You may need to add more milk to reach your desired consistency.

Let the danishes cool slightly on a wire rack. Drizzle with glaze, if desired.
