Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Base:
  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
For the Oreo Truffles:
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (14.3 oz)
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a food processor, crush the entire package of Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.

  3. Add the softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs and mix until a smooth, malleable dough forms.

  4. Roll the Oreo mixture into small, approximately 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined plate or baking sheet and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, vegetable oil, water, and eggs. Mix until well combined.

  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Arrange the chilled Oreo truffles evenly over the brownie batter.

  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the Oreo truffles, spreading it carefully to cover them.

  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
