Method
- Start by washing and chopping your fresh peaches; you can leave the skins on if you are using a high-powered blender, as they add color and nutrients.3 fresh peaches
- Place the chopped peaches, the 12-ounce can of frozen lemonade concentrate, and 24 ounces of water into your blender.3 fresh peaches, 12 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate, 24 ounces water
- Blend the mixture on a high speed (or a Juice setting) until it is completely smooth and no large chunks of fruit or skin remain.
- Pour the liquid mixture into a 9 x 13-inch glass cake pan or a similar shallow dish, which helps the mixture freeze more evenly and quickly.
- Place the pan in the freezer for approximately 4 hours, or until it reaches a thick, slushy consistency.
- Once frozen to your liking, use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to scrape the mixture into glasses.
- Garnish with a fresh mint leaf and a slice of peach if desired, and serve immediately.Fresh mint leaves
Notes
To achieve the best texture, use a high-speed blender like a Blendtec or Vitamix to pulverize peach skins so they are virtually undetectable. Freezing the mixture in a shallow glass pan allows the liquid to turn into a slushy much faster than a deep bowl.
