Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
While the meatloaf is baking, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. DrainWell

Return the potatoes to the pot. Add milk and butter and mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Once the meatloaf is almost done, carefully spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese generously over the mashed potatoes.
1.5 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese, 1/4 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Place the dish under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
