- In a blender, combine the light rum, coconut rum, and strawberries until smooth.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the bottom of two tall hurricane glasses.
- Rinse the blender jar thoroughly to prepare for the next layer.
- In the clean blender, combine the pineapple juice, cream of coconut, banana, and ice.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is thick, frosty, and creamy.
- Slowly pour the white coconut mixture into the center of the glasses; the strawberry base will rise up the sides like lava.
- Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and a cherry before serving immediately.
Notes
For a mocktail version, simply omit the rums and replace with 2 ounces of pineapple juice.
