Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into 1-inch pieces
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
Garnish
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Add red pepper flakes, if desired.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour into the skillet and stir constantly until the sauce thickens.

  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the honey garlic sauce.

  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot over rice, quinoa, or with steamed vegetables.
