Notes

For the most tender and flavorful Greek-inspired Meatball Appetiser, don't overmix the meat mixture. Overmixing can lead to tough meatballs. Use your hands and gently combine all the ingredients until they are just incorporated. When forming the meatballs, try to make them uniformly sized. This ensures they cook evenly. To prevent sticking, lightly grease your hands with olive oil before rolling the meatballs. If you want to boost the Greek flavor, add a pinch of ground cinnamon or nutmeg to the meat mixture. For an extra crispy exterior, briefly broil the meatballs for the last minute or two of baking, keep a close eye so they don't burn. Don't skip the fresh herbs! They are essential for that bright and authentic Mediterranean taste. Finally, the yogurt sauce can be made ahead of time. Store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
