Ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoons unflavored or sugar-free gelatin powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup hot liquid water, herbal tea, or green tea
  • 1 splash lemon juice or apple cider vinegar optional
  • 1 pinch salt or fresh herbs optional

Method

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: Add the gelatin powder to a small bowl containing the cold water. Let it sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes to absorb the liquid.
1-2 tablespoons unflavored or sugar-free gelatin powder, 2-3 tablespoons cold water
  2. Add the Hot Liquid: Heat your water or tea until it is hot but not boiling. Pour the hot liquid over the bloomed gelatin and stir slowly and consistently until the powder is completely dissolved.
    1 cup hot liquid
  3. Incorporate Flavors: If you want to enhance the taste, stir in your optional lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, or herbs.
1 splash lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, 1 pinch salt or fresh herbs
  4. Choose Your Serving Method: Drink the mixture immediately warm, or pour it into a small dish and refrigerate for 2–4 hours until firm.

Notes

Ensure you never use boiling water, as extreme heat can break down the protein structure of the gelatin and prevent it from setting. For a firmer snack, slightly increase the amount of gelatin used.
