  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 6 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it!

  4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned.

  5. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for a few minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

  6. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  7. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
