Method
- Begin by placing 1 pound of grapes in the freezer for one hour to make it easier to remove the stems later.
- After one hour, remove the grapes from the freezer and give the stems a quick twist to remove them.
- Place the de-stemmed grapes into a colander and rinse them thoroughly with cool water.
- Transfer the wet grapes into Ziploc bags, using a separate bag for each flavor or color of Kool-Aid, add the mix, seal, and shake vigorously.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, pour the coated grapes onto it in a single layer, and freeze for 24 hours.
- Once the freezing period is over, remove the grapes and enjoy them immediately.
Notes
Do not completely dry your grapes after rinsing them, as the moisture on the skin is essential for helping the Kool-Aid powder stick to the fruit. It is highly recommended to use sweetened Kool-Aid packets unless you specifically enjoy a very sour, sweet-tart flavor profile.
