- In a medium bowl, combine the drained ricotta cheese, olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
- Use a fork or spoon to thoroughly mix all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the ricotta mixture to a serving dish.

Notes
For the creamiest dip, use whole milk ricotta and drain it thoroughly. Line a sieve with cheesecloth and let the ricotta sit for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator to drain before using. Don't be afraid to experiment with the amount of hot honey. Start with a little and add more to your liking. A high-quality olive oil will also make this dish better, bringing a light fruity flavor. Serve with toasted baguette slices, crackers, crudités, grilled vegetables, or spread on crostini topped with prosciutto or salami.
