- Gather all ingredients and prep vegetables if using.

- Add the tortellini and any optional ingredients like shredded chicken or baby spinach.
- Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours, or until the tortellini is tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Once finished, let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs or red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
To reheat leftovers, add a splash of broth to keep the sauce creamy. Freezing is not recommended as it affects the pasta texture.
