Ingredients

For the Little Smokies:
  • 2 packages Little Smokies sausages 14 ounce each
For the BBQ Sauce:
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika optional, for extra smoky flavor

Equipment

  • Crockpot (Slow Cooker)
  • Bowl
  • Toothpicks

Method

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika (if using).
  2. Place the Little Smokies in the crockpot. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the sausages, ensuring they're evenly coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or on high for 1-1.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the sausages are heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  4. Serve warm directly from the crockpot. Use toothpicks for easy serving.

Notes

Taste and adjust BBQ sauce to preference - add hot sauce for heat or more brown sugar for sweetness. Use slow cooker liner to prevent sticking. Stir occasionally during cooking. For thicker sauce, remove lid during last 30 minutes. Great for parties, game days, and potlucks.
