Ingredients
  

Ground Beef Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 Lean)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 ounce)
  • 1/2 cup water
Tacos
  • 12 taco shells (hard)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, etc.)

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned.

  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the water has evaporated and the mixture has thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Fill each taco shell with the seasoned ground beef and top with shredded cheddar cheese.

  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the taco shells are crisp.
  6. Remove the Crispy Baked Ground Beef Tacos from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with your favorite toppings and serve immediately. Enjoy your Taco Tuesday!
