  • 3/4 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Red or White Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Minced

Salad Ingredients

  • 1 Medium Red Onion

Method

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, red or white wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and sugar until smooth and well combined.
  2. For best results, cover the dressing and chill it in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or up to a full day, to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Thinly slice the cucumbers and red onion, aiming for about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness.
  4. Add the sliced cucumbers and red onion to the bowl with the chilled dressing.
  5. Gently toss the vegetables with the dressing until evenly coated.
  6. Serve the salad immediately, or cover and chill for another 1-2 days in an airtight container before serving.

Notes

This salad tastes best when the dressing is made ahead and chilled for at least one hour and up to 24 hours before serving. Once the veggies are tossed with the dressing, it can be chilled for another 1-2 days in an airtight container in the fridge. Do not freeze.
