Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Begin by melting the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced, cooked chicken to the skillet and season it evenly with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until the chicken is heated through and takes on a slightly golden hue.
1 tablespoon butter, 2 cups cooked chicken breast, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  2. Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean workspace. Sprinkle a generous portion of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese directly into the center of each tortilla. Place the seasoned chicken slices on top of the cheese, dividing them evenly between the two wraps.
2 large flour tortillas, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  3. Carefully fold the sides of the tortillas inward and roll them tightly from the bottom up. Ensure the fillings are tucked in securely to prevent them from spilling out during the baking process.
  4. Place the assembled wraps seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour the Alfredo sauce generously over the top of the wraps, making sure they are fully coated. For an extra layer of decadence, sprinkle a bit more mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
1 cup Alfredo sauce, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. You are looking for the cheese to be completely melted and starting to turn a beautiful golden brown.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve while hot and bubbly.
    Fresh parsley

Notes

To ensure the best results, try lightly warming the tortillas in the microwave for 10 seconds before rolling; this makes them more pliable and prevents cracking. For those who enjoy a bit of texture, you can briefly sear the outside of the rolled wraps in a dry pan before adding the sauce and baking to give the tortilla a slightly crispier bite.
