In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onion is softened.

Add the ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish to the beef mixture and stir well.

Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly before adding the cheese. Mix, then set aside.

Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture in the center.

Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Brush the top corner with the beaten egg and roll tightly to seal.

To Fry: Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

To Bake: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the egg rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray with cooking oil. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
