Ingredients
  

Base Layer
  • 1 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
Vegetable Section
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup black olives sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Cheese & Extras
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños chopped (optional)
Serving
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom of a serving dish or platter.
  3. Evenly layer the diced tomatoes, green onions, black olives, and cilantro over the cream cheese base.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the vegetables.
  5. If desired, add the chopped pickled jalapeños on top.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Serve chilled with tortilla chips.

Notes

For the best flavor and texture, make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing it with the sour cream. Feel free to customize the vegetable layer to your liking. Bell peppers, corn, or avocado can all be great additions. To prevent a soggy dip, drain the tomatoes and olives well before adding them. Make the dip ahead of time; letting it chill in the refrigerator for a few hours will allows the flavors to merge properly.
