Method
- Pour BBQ sauce into the crockpot.
- Add brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika (if using) and garlic powder (if using) to the crockpot with the BBQ sauce. Whisk to combine well.
- Add frozen meatballs directly into the crockpot.
- Stir gently to coat all the meatballs in the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, or until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve the BBQ Meatballs Crockpot hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or green onions, if desired.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the crockpot. If doubling the recipe, use a larger crockpot. For a richer flavor, brown the meatballs before adding them to the crockpot. Adjust the sweetness and tanginess of the BBQ sauce to your liking. For a spicier sauce, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce. Check on your meatballs periodically, especially during the last hour of cooking. Use a crockpot liner for easier cleanup.
