Ingredients
  

Salad
  • 4 cups peeled and chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • ½ cup raisins or dried cranberries
Dressing
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or honey)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, gently mix the chopped apples, celery, walnuts or pecans, and raisins or dried cranberries.

  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar (or honey), salt, and pepper until well combined and smooth.

  3. Pour the dressing over the apple mixture in the large bowl. Gently fold everything together until the apples and other ingredients are evenly coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. The longer it sits, the better it tastes!
  5. Before serving, give the Amish Thanksgiving Must-Have a gentle stir. Serve chilled as a refreshing side dish alongside your Thanksgiving feast.
